Hike and Raft Trip Description
There are endless wonders in the redrock canyons, and our guided hiking tour will take you to Moab's hidden gems and places you might not find on your own. Nothing beats having someone to turn to who knows the area, knows the geology, knows the history. After your morning walkabout, we cool down with an afternoon raft ride down the Colorado River and enjoy spectacular canyon scenery and splashy, fun rapids. You can also combine a guided hike with our afternoon Calm Water Kayak or Inflatable Kayak tour. The morning hiking has a flexible departure time depending on what river portion you choose to do, so give us a call at 800-733-6007 and we'll see what works best for you.
Rates for morning hiking and afternoon rafting:
Per person price: $105
-This price reflects a 10% discount on the river portion
-Price includes transportation
This package has a two person minimum
What to Bring
For the morning hike you will need a small backpack to carry your water, sunscreen ,lip balm, snacks, binoculars and camera. You should also bring a hat or visor and a light jacket as the mornings can be chilly.
You will have time for lunch on your own and then meet at 1:45 pm at the Canyon Voyages store for the Fisher Tower Afternoon Half-Day. you will return from the river at approximately 6:00 pm.
For the river portion you should bring:
- Water bottle - each boat carries ice water for refills
- Swimsuit or T-shirt and shorts, or long sleeve shirt for sun protection
- Comfortable shoes that can get wet. It is best it they have straps or laces. Rental booties
available.
- Hat or visor
- Sunglasses, with retainer strap
- Sunscreen and lip balm
- Camera (at your own risk, we highly recommend waterproof cameras for sale in our store)
- A light jacket for spring and fall trips
Each raft will have a waterproof bag for your day items
Trips meet at our store at 211 North Main St. Click here for directions. Caps, shirts, sunscreens, cameras and more are available for purchase. We have plenty of parking available at our store and adjacent side street.
Guide gratuities are not included in the cost of the trip.
