LEVEL I WHITEWATER KAYAKING

This two-day course is designed for beginners with no prior experience or a limited amount of experience. We teach safety and basic paddling skills; including stroke mechanics, eddy turns, peel-outs, ferrying, and eskimo rolls. Course includes calm water and basic whitewater, downriver practice; lunch and transportation. Instruction time 6-7 hrs./day.

LEVEL II WHITEWATER KAYAKING

If you want to sharpen your paddling skills, review stroke mechanics, develop surfing techniques or polish your roll, this two-day course is for you. Participants should be comfortable in Class II water and competent at self-rescue. Course includes calm water, whitewater practice, lunch and transportation. Instruction time 6-7 hrs./day.

THREE EVENING COURSE (Level I and Level II)

This three-evening course is designed to provide Level I and II instruction. This class meets Friday through Sunday and features safety, rescue, stroke mechanics and eskimo rolls. Included are calm water and downriver practice with transportation provided. Instruction time 3 hrs./evening.

PRIVATE AND SEMI-PRIVATE LESSONS

Private lessons can be tailored to your time frame and specific learning needs. We recommend full-day personalized instruction to accelerate learning for beginner and intermediate paddlers. Lessons include calm water and/or whitewater practice, lunch and transportation.

YOUTH DISCOUNTS (Ages 10-15)

Learning to kayak is fun, educational, great exercise and can build self-confidence. All youth participants (ages 10-15) will receive 10% off our regular class price. (Not applicable for private lessons).

KAYAK AND GEAR DISCOUNTS

Take any two-day or private class and receive $50 off any new kayak in stock. All students receive 10% off any non-sale store purchase. (Purchase must be made within 30 days of class date.)

ESKIMO ROLL CLINIC

Let us help you develop a solid roll. This clinic features 3-4 students per instructor. Clinics are generally scheduled for evenings, reservations required.

DEPOSITS guarantee a reservation, a 50% deposit is required. Final payment is due the morning of the class.

CANCELLATIONS

More than 30 days advance notice, full refunds, less a $25/person fee. 15-30 days advance notice, 50% of total class fee is refunded. Less than 15 days advance notice, no refunds will be given. Canyon Voyages Adventure Co. reserved the right to cancel classes due to weather/water conditions and insufficient participation. Full refund will be made for these reasons.

MEALS

Lunches are prepared fresh daily. Please advise us in advance of special dietary needs.

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM AGE
All kayak school participants must be able to swim. Youth participants should be at least 10 years old.
