MULTI-SPORT ADVENTURES
Hummer 4x4 & Raft:
Enjoy Moab's canyon country from two distinct vantage points. Look down
into slickrock sandstone canyons from the seat of a Hummer, and gaze upward
from a r`1aft or kayak at the soaring walls of the Colorado River canyon
as you make your way downstream. Riding in a Hummer lets you experience
the thrills of backcountry travel to places where you could never take
the family sedan! And, the Colorado River will capture your sense of adventure
as you run a series of fun rapids. All ages and skill levels are welcome.
Hummer tours are provided by High Point Hummer Tours.

Canyoneering & Kayaks: Have you always wanted to try canyoneering? It's one of today‚s hottest sports. Well here is your chance to do so under the watchful eye of professional guides. And there‚s no better place to learn than in Moab‚s beautiful canyon country. On these canyoneering tours you will explore narrow, meandering slot canyons, and experience the thrill of rappelling as you navigate through these spectacular narrow passageways . Afterwards, you will finish out the day with a paddling trip on a meandering section of the Colorado River in your own recreational or sit-on-top kayak. It‚s a day filled with spectacular scenery, excitement and wonder! Prior experience is not necessary, although a reasonable level of fitness is required. Canyoneering guide service is provided by Moab Desert Adventures.

Climbing & Kayaks: Whether you are touching rock for the first time or looking for a challenge, a half-day of rock climbing on the spectacular cliffs around Moab is an opportunity not to be missed. You will receive top notch instruction from professional and experienced guides. Rounding out your vertical adventure is a paddling trip down a meandering section of the Colorado River in your own recreational or sit-on-top kayak. It‚s a day filled with spectacular scenery, excitement and wonder! Prior experience is not necessary, although a reasonable level of fitness is required. Pedal &
Paddle: This one-day program is for people who want to do and
see as much as possible in a short time frame. It begins with a morning
mountain bike ride that takes you into some of Moab's best backcountry
terrain. You'll finish the day with an "upper body workout"
as you paddle your own kayak down a calm water section of the Colorado
River. It's helpful if you have a little riding or paddling experience,
but advanced skills are not necessary. Mountain biking is provided by
Rim Mountain BikeTours.

Ride &
Raft: You'll follow John Wayne's footsteps when you begin your
horseback ride at Red Cliffs Ranch, which was the main location for the
1950's western film "Rio Grande". The scenery is stunning with
views of Castle Tower and Porcupine Rim bordering Castle Valley. Combine
your time "in-the-saddle" with time in a river raft on the Colorado
River and you've got a Moab vacation to remember. Horseback rides are
provided by Red Cliffs Lodge.

Canyon Voyages Kayak School:
The nearby Colorado River is the perfect classroom setting to develop
the skills necessary for rewarding, fun paddling. Our American Canoe Association
(ACA) certified instructors teach safety, stroke mechanics, eddy turns,
peel-outs, ferrying and Eskimo rolls. Course includes calm water and whitewater,
downriver practice. We offer private and semi-private lessons for one
or two days.
